140 rims and tyres

Hello everyone,

Today I’ve been trying to find some new shoes for my 145, but I’m having some difficulty locally finding tyres that fit on the 14” rims that are on it with 215/65R14 tyres. I don’t want to spend $200/tyre as I really only need something to roll it into the shed.

The tyres on her are not great…

I have some tyres to suit a 15” rim but I can’t seem to find any rims that would fit and my local wreckers told me the stud pattern on the 140s is strange, and that I should consider swapping it to fit commodore rims.

What luck did you guys have with rims and tyres? If you’re running 14” rims what tyres are you running?

140 stud pattern is 5 x 108 mm, quite a common size actually. so called 'Holden stud pattern' on trailers is also 108 mm PCD. The only problem with 140's is that the offset is different to 740/940's (easier to get) but that wont matter if you are only going to use it to roll into and out of a shed. 14 inch wheels are not standard size on a 140, and sometimes will cause interference on the brake calipers....

What width are the 14” wheels?

215 seems way too wide for them

Where are you located, I have some std 140 rims in Sydney. Those mags would have some value to a n early Holden owner HG,HT, HQ era.

Massey165 HQ PCD is different.
Holden HK / HT / HT are 5 x 108 PCD but not sure of the offset.
140 offset is -40 for the standard 15 inch x 5 wheels

215 was a special size. Go with 205 or 195.

I'm assuming the wheels are not 7 or 8 inch wide.

Or get cans of wheel sealant goop.

I had to get a 14 for my Volvo 240 steel wheel. Picked up a cheapie from quickfit for 135 bucks
