WTB 240 rad fan or viscous coupling

The viscous coupling on my 240's rad fan has packed it in. Looking for a replacement.

I think I would prefer to convert to e-fan but I would also need a 70A alternator to support it.

if lh2. 4 you could use a 940 ecu and fan + relay. you need 2 wires from ecu to 940 relay near battery. 940 fan plastic housing trims up neatly to fit 240 radiator. looksalmost factory. did it on my wagon, works a treat. also have in-radiator over temp switch connected though forget how that works.

K-Jet. The electrical side of it isn't a worry, It's just a probe in the lower rad hose.

for my carb 240 i used a davies craig single speed fan and a vw screw in switch for the Nissens radiator in the drivers side tank. the vw switch was turn on at 86 and off at 82 - or something. Will be home in a few days, can dig out part number (only good for nissens radiator, will not work on genuine/blackstone units, i could not find a push in low temp switch for genuine radiator).
switch looks super factory and it all works quite well.

dmc do you know the thread pitch of the switch ?
I recently found a dual temp bmw switch that screws into a 240 aftermarket alloy radiator .
It's fairly chunky though and looks like it will clash with my 4" intake out of the turbo 🤣
Would be a good option for people with more space though , dual temp switch and the temp range was good I'm using it with a 2 speed 940 efan .

I have one (or half a dozen?) used B230 fans...happy to send U one if you want to go that way. Probably $25-30 for post. Lemme know.

Yeah I just want a clutch fan for now, I'll probably do an e-fan conversion later on. @dmc I used the 14" Davies Craig on my wagon it works great and hardly ever comes on at all. Yes please if you can get the switch part number!

I think I can tell you the thread pitch, I have another switch that fits the Nissens port just wrong on/off temps, I think it came with the rad from Rockauto

jamesinc I went and had a look at my switch .
I used a tridon TFS107 .
The threaded hole in the aftermarket alloy radiators is huge and from memory m18 .
The sensor I got is m14 and I use a brass adaptor from m14 to m18 .

I went this way so I could use a 2 speed fan , I looked at a bunch of dual temp switches and the temp range on this one was the most suitable .
