1988 240 Upper Trailing Arm Bushes - Differentiating Types

Does anyone have any experience with installing polyurethane (Superpro) bushes on the upper trailing arms? I understand there are a few variations in the size and shape, and presumably the bushes of the upper trailing arms, however, I'm struggling to find a definite answer to how exactly they differ. SuperPro produce three variations in Poly bushes for the upper trailing arms, each with seemingly significant differences. The upper trailing arms I have are approximately 450mm long end-to-end with approximately 50mm diameter bush housings.
Any help is appreciated!

The hourglass ones are for the early 240s (up to 78 I think?) and then the middle one is 240s after that.

But if in doubt, just pull one of the upper arms out and check, the hourglass ones don't have a shell, the later ones are bonded to a shell that is pressed into place.

1988 will definitely NOT have the hourglass bushes (unless somebody swapped in old arms!), so you will want the SPF0727K. I've used these on a few of my 240s. All good. Note Sparesbox.com.au usually has pretty good pricing on them.

carnut222 Good to know they're an accurate fit, the superpros I used in the front end all fit perfectly also. I'll definitely have to shop around for a good price. They're currently on sale at SCA but still costing more than at Autobarn.

We are a Superpro dealer, and for most applications, upper torque rods are a good location to use urethane. Which kit to use depends on your year.
I'm yet to have a customer that needed the third bush kit listed here.

Pray there the Parallel type.
Interesting how they say its a difficult job.
Really clean the inside tube up (flapper disc) especially create a bit of a nice chamfer on the lead in so it will slide in. With lots of lube, a vice or press will make the job far easier.

Anthony Cheers for the advice. It sounds like a similar job to the front lower control arm rear bushes, which are also flanged. They popped snugly into place under a 6T press, fingers crossed these ones are as straight forward as they were.
