rado can you get data logging to work with tunerpro?
Or is it the setting up of tunerpro to work with the cable that's the problem?
I think I have set the cable up so far to com4 .
On tunerpro screen I'm not sure what to do now

rado https
rado Have you downloaded the tunerpro program? That page is listing plug ins for the program. From memory you don't need any plug ins, and if vast requires them I'm sure he would have sent them.
He would have sent you some files that tunerpro can open.
BIN - that's your map or tune file
XDF - that contains all the tunerpro settings for use with this particular ecu
ADF - that's how tunerpro displays the data
Upon opening the tunerpro program, use the top drop down menus to open all 3 of them files listed above that Aaron has sent you.
I've followed the instructions then click on the two blue arrows but then nothing , cannot connect
rado It can be a pain sometimes. Key to acc, then click on the connect arrows in tunerpro, bottom will say connecting, then start the car, if it works it will say connected down the bottom and data will start flowing. Sometimes it don't work. Car off, acc, click connect, then start car usually works the 2nd time.
This assumes your cable is configured right and working.
It's really great what the smart people like Aaron have achieved with tunerpro and motronic, but they system is janky af. In time I'll haltech my 850 as tunerpro while great, gives me the shits at times.
I've spent most of the day trying to get it connecting . Cable is new from Aaron and configured to the right port . Will try on another laptop tomorrow see if that helps out of curiosity , but the battery is dead on that one .. I'm going to delete everything as well and start from scratch see if that helps .
rado good luck with it mate, it's a pain to get it working but very satisfying once it's all working smooth.
Doubt it makes a difference but I just use an old win 7 laptop, tunerpro seems to run on anything pretty easy.
Yeah I personally think my latest laptop is a pile of poo
I also have this problem with connection it can be finicky you can try and start the car as hamsandwich said.
I emailed Aaron last night and then this morning had a reply 1am WA time saying he could do it remotely at 9am my time . So , sat in front of my laptop Sent him details to get into my laptop and nada , no show from Aaron. TWO hours waiting so I've been trying again sat in car but I'm getting basically cable is not showing up .
I did ask Aaron if it's safe to run the car on the base tune and he said yes as it's a conservative tune so that's cool as the car runs soo smooth and quiet to just under 14psi . BUT obviously not what I'm after .
I've just sent him a slightly abrupt email in my frustration ..... wife just said umm I'm sure that'll help lol well we'll see what comes of this shit show
rado I definitely understand your frustrations, and the time zones wouldn't be helping.
But if he has decided to go into business with this then he needs to make it right for a paying customer.
I have alot of respect for the dude because of the countless hours he, and several others, but alot of it has been him, in cracking and developing what's possible with motronic these days.
The alternative is to tune it yourself, the info is all online, scattered throughout 1500 or so pages of forum threads, you can get satisfactory results but the time investment is huge.
In saying that if I was going to pay anyone to tune my motronic it would be Aaron without a doubt.
Good luck and I hope you work it out.
I seem to remember playing around with fdti drivers or something to get the cable to work, had to be a certain driver, there is info online about what ones work.

I've forwarded it to the wife so she going to have a go from the beginning on her laptop as it's far superior to my laptop , who knows .
I do have to say this though about the base tune , the car runs very smoothly and quieter so that is a good bonus , expensive bonus but still a plus
rado If it's good now it will be great after a few revisions, short of standalone ECU's this will be the best outcome for your R

I do believe that , I'm not going to give up on it . It's going to take a while as I work away and home at weekends , drove the wife crazy this weekend as I've been sat in the car for most of it
Latest then , I drove the car down to work this morning and 50 kilometres into the journey the lambda light came on , so I pulled over took the ecu out and back in , didn't make any difference.
That light can come on for any numbe of reasons
How'd you go?
I've taken it out and gone back to the og. Aaron is away till the 13th of this month. It'll get sorted after that
