Find out engine No.

Can anyone help me with find out an engine No. from the VIN for a C30.
I have the vin and the previous Rego but that is all

If you're doing a pre-purchase due diligence check -

Engine number should be on the PPSR register.
Depending on state or territory, the online rego check facility might have the engine number listed. Tasmania's online rego check does, not sure about other states / territories.
The engine number should be on the rego papers. (Mind you, South Australia can be exceptionally slack in this regard - the 242GT I bought down there didn't have the engine number or even the VIN / chassis number on the SA rego papers....)

It's also said by inspectors that finding the engine number on a 5-pot whiteblock is a real Kyle's mom in D minor.

You can find the engine model type from the VIN, but the engine number itself will only be on the block.
