Rear brakes are done. With the fronts, I just need to do a test fit again, take all the photos for the installation guide, and do some kms - just the time consuming stuff - for the 320mm brake conversion. Not difficult, just needs to be done.

Loud, but a good cheaper performance tyre. Do you have a hook up for them already? Damo from RacingReady has pretty good prices on them.

I have no experience with Federal stuff but thought I might try them out.

I used a few of the different Falken Azenis semi-slicks and other than that, typically buy either Yokohama or Bridgestone stuff. I'll do some more googling and might contact him.

Those Ovation performance ones are cheap,$105 for the 16" ones from Tyrepower. Choice rated em near to Conti CS2s in performance.I will email you the grainy copy my bro inlaw sent me. Ovation VI 388. Maybe made by Toyo.Not sure. Love the Toyo R1Rs!!

its all coming along nicely.
about time i swapped out the front seats of my 740. they are all hard and cracked.
would like to get another tan set with heaters. if not. ill just recaro style saddle it.

Just dropped it off for the guys to start on the bodywork. It might get done in stages depending on what else they have on.

I also contacted Elwood Industries to do a seat bottom section for the drivers seat but they won't do one for R model seats. Disappointing but they did get back to me pretty quickly.

Stitching design in the seat inserts and not having the patterns to do them.
The patterns are amazingly close to the standard seats (I'd be surprised if the seat base wasnt identical)

It's probably a case of not enough demand to warrant looking into it further.

Our first run of these arrived today. When the car is back from having bodywork done and I have some time, I'll fit the breathers to the cam cover and fit one of them.

I've just given, the drawings and a factory cover to my mate ( a carbon engineer and manufacturer) an 8v cam cover. To make one out of carbon :D

Very kool. There'll be a lot more work in that than there was in these.
Carbon is great because of how it gets laid, all pieces are different.

My wedding ring is actually carbon fibre and titanium. :)

Yeah I'm a huge fan of carbon. Mostly unidirectional carbon. It's so pretty.
I did a short run of MTB parts a couple years back, with huge success. But the $ required to make required profit, and a couple large MTB company lawyer emails, left that to stay a private venture.

Setup for smaller production runs (in anything) can be tough. The risk is often whether you do or dont make that break-even point.
With these carbon plug covers, we did 10 and 9 are gone already, so it's been fairly successful.

I can imagine. If I was running t5 I would be on it also. We have looked at manifold and turbine heat shield.
But molding it would be very time consuming.
Wish my mate with the 3d printer was still in the state.
