The new wheels are on with the white wall inserts. Took the wagon down to the local Volvo meet I organised. See the event

The wheel look is interesting. It was fun for one day but have decided to experiment with some Plasti-Dip on the wheels until I organise a paint can of the proper shade of silver. I've always wanted to use Plasti-Dip on something so here's my chance to have a play.
Other things I managed to achieve.. the indicators are back together with new lenses on and fitted the replacement front left headlight with new holder clips installed.
As this was my first real drive (with 28 day temp rego) I got a feel for how it performs on the road.. it's fun but needs some work. It's pinging quite badly, vibrating badly under power from the rear axle area and suspect the rear brakes might be holding on a little so perhaps I need to rebuild the rest of the calipers. I shall start investigating air leaks over the next week to sort out the pinging as the timing looks ok and will inspect the drive shaft and uni joints for free play. I've also ordered some new rear shocks as the current ones must be the originals and are quite poor.
Pics of the wheels together and on..
