I have a 92 wagon you can have for free
Drives fine but missing half the interior and needs a small amount of body work and a repaint
The engine is 100% solid in it as is most of the running gear
If you want a base for a project car nothing beets free
I also have a prestine 1993 240 wagon with m47 and 1998 rebuilt b230fk turbo engine but if I have to give it up I want 10k for it cause I will never have time to build another

fnargleboogledrooble.... that sounds gorgeous! can i come and look at it, if i promise to clean up any drool? ;) are you actually looking to sell it, or just mulling the possibility?
is the donorwagon an auto?
Philia_Bear
Yes
And
Yes
ill post some pics of both this evening
lasercowboy
thanks! looking forward to taking a look this evening.
what's the economy of the turbo like compared to a stock B230F?

My brother moved to Melbourne recently and will be looking to sell his '86 manual wagon before too long...
lasercowboy
@carnut1100 - what sort of shape is it in? I think the '86 has a 4 speed manual w/overdrive - I'm not too familiar with that 'box.
Any experts on how the M46 compares to the M47? :)
Philia_Bear
for the 93...
Same fuel economy for the turblo
7.5l/100 highway and 10/100 in city or better
When I rebuilt the motor I put high compression pistons into it for better fuel economy and power
Iirc compression is 9.5:1 with the NA pistons in the turbo block with 531 head
Also has a kg2t cam and kevlar timing belt and denso style 120amp alt
Boost is set to 12psi on the 19T for 150KW which is as much as I want to put through the M47
It has an AEM Tru-boost and a PLX wideband (with gauge and narrowband output going to LH2.4)
Its running stock LH2.4 98 940s turbo computers with 2001 T5 v70 injectors which works well
I've also got a set of 65lb injectors + 3" AMM if you ever wanted to put a tank of E85 into it and run 22PSI

There ye go , a well set up car that will last , is fast and nice and best of all you dont have all the hassles of parts , things not wuite right etc.....

To be honest it would probably be wasted on me! (as well as a little beyond my budget)
My original 240 in the UK was the B200 1986cc engine (which I don't think you ever got down here), and that was enough for me! In fact, my housemate had the 2.3GLT (the B230x 2.3 was only available in "luxury" models in UK) and that felt like a rocketship, and sounded amazing.

gone already! the one is Brisbane looks really nice actually, but there's no way I can get it before I have to head to Europe on the weekend.
If anyone needs anything from Volvo wreckers in UK that's small and can be shipped or suitcased, let me know!

Just checked with the wife if there was anything we needed; the only comment I got was British Cadburys chocolate!
I reckon that's a secret trick to please women; we've got a friend here who would kill us if we didn't bring back a kilo of Cadburys for her!

Ooh! Grab me an M90, it'll totally fit in a suitcase XD

We got B200s...but not in 240s.
We had them in 360s

The 360 was a car that was so hard to like... is there any following of them down here? They were forgotten in the UK as an uncomfortable blip in the history of Volvo!
carnut1100
Very small following, but dedicated.
My brother has three....one is now for sale!

Awesome little rally beast.......

i guess it was rear wheel drive at least, with the gearbox at the back. does that make it better distributed for chucking around corners? it's just so... fugly.
