I have actually made that same one with my bro a few years ago and tried to use it for the first time on @A_Volvo_Driver‌'s 240 with @AshDVS‌ but it didn't work.

@AshDVS‌ do you remember why it didn't work or what else it needed?

Edit- it might have just been a crap load of washers or something similar needed to start pushing the old bushing out.
I've not seen an article on it, but have seen some tearing/elongation type of failures on the body end.
It's more prevalent with high powered cars with very low ride heights.
What ever you do - don't loan your tool to Johnny Chan...
:)

(bullet point #1 in Tips & Hints at the end)
Hey @240Joe would you possibly consider sending the tool up to me? I need to do some torque arm bushings. If it's missing something I'll add it in and send it back functioning-tested.
Hrm... I need me one of these...

James... I do have some nice steel stock if you want to put your lathe to work?
I've got one that Fletcher made then gave to me after he finished with it....

Yep let me know if you still want it but it looks like Bruces have them coming out their ears now!

bgpzfm142 wrote On a related note, does anyone recall seeing an article about excessive wear on 240 urethane trailing arm bushings? A link to it would be appreciated.
Volvo clubs magazine Rolling, featured a pic of mine on terrible wear (disintegration) of an Aussie made blue poly trailing arm bush, bit over a year ago.
Given motorsport use, I replaced it with a high tech solution from Kaplhenke, USA.
PM me with an email address if you wish and I'll send you the pics.

That's the article I'm looking for! No wonder I couldn't find it online, lol. That particular Rolling magazine is one which Berry Motor Group keeps in their customer waiting room area, which is where I read it.

Cheers! Done. IIRC the article also briefly discussed the range of forces acting on the old poly bushes to explain why they wore out like they did. If you have time, it's info worth adding to your (already very comprehensive) pagers.
