The sump, oil lines & mounts will be in my hands tomorrow
The engine is coming out of a 1998 C70 with the HPT engine running ME4.4 for an easy COP conversion

Tremec T5 gearbox, 960 bellhousing with a volvo flywheel drilled for a ford clutch
Ill hopefully have it done by the end of the year
Hi all!
This is the continuing story of my passion for slow old Swedish steel.
My first car was a 1999 Naturally aspirated V70, she had 230,000kms at the time and was an old Grenda Bus service vehicle in ace condition, I bought a, 86 240 and an 850 T5R as projects that didnt work out, got fed up and bought a 1995 Nissan 300zx TT. The Z was nice, but it wasnt me... so I sold it and with the proceeds bought a 240 T5 conversion kit from the Buchka borthers in the US and waited for the right car.

Ive been looking for a reason to get another 240 since my last one 2 years ago, The conditions were that I would clean it up, chuck a 5 speed manual box in and boost its tits off

This beauty popped up for sale last November and I jumped at it

The plan!

The car:
1992 240
B6304 from a 1995 960
Eiker E1s on RE003s
Ford EL 27mm bar up front
242 GT 23mm bar on rear
GLE 3 guage cluster
Zender spoiler
Rear numberplate trim
Electric windows
Black interior
Alpine type Rs all round

Future plans:
Recaros
T5 of some description
CD009
Trutrac
Lots of mad burnouts
GT35 or Holset HX40/HE351
Yeah, just the box & clutch assembly which I havnt worked out yet
T5 swap should be interesting.

I've got the same Falcon swaybar on the front of my 240 but with Kaplhenke adjustable end links. I've tried to set the adjustment so the swaybar is as level as possible and there was still a tiny bit of contact with the brake line mount. Touched it up with the grinder a few mm and I've not had any issues in 30,000km.
I considered getting a set of Ash's links, but my 2$ fix worked better than expected!
i will have to get some eventually

My conversion parts came!
Ill have pics up soon of everything ive got :)
Julian
Very nice looking 240.
- I'm keen to follow the thread of the 5 cyl turbo project, create a new thread?
- The banging from the AW auto, maybe you solved it, one thought not mentioned is the flex plate and they are known to have issues.
- The Ford 27 mm swaybar - pity the end links are skewed at such at angle. Comment - In sway (under load one end) its a bending load on the link arm rather than a preferred more vertical.

that is what this thread is :-/
Cheers @Anthony‌!
I was hoping to have the whole thing here, Ill tidy things up abit and have a bit of an intro when things start seriously happening
Ill have a look at the flex plate, i thought it may be a culprit

Regarding the swaybars, its definetly not the best situation, but I havnt had any issues since my cheap fix, I believe they will resurface when i get a hold of some of Ash's magic lowering springs

At the moment im choosing what gauges I want to run to keep tabs on everything
AEM or Innovate?
Both work fine. Its personal choice.
The aem data log one looks good. Boost and afr in the one gauge and logs rpm and afr to down low onto a laptop.
If you can justify spending $500 on a gauge.
That AEM dual one I posted to Julian. I would have got that if I didn't already have the innovative. (Which is data logging as well)
They are all very expensive, I was lookimg at some of the Innovate dual function gauges, but wondered if it would look funny with so many digital gauges
Digital gauges are bright to. It can get annoying in your eyes
The AEM dual gauge was only $325 from memory, not sure if that was gauge only or full kit.

My inovative kit cost a touch over $200
Work in progress...

Ive got all electronics, motors, loom & relays to convert to electric windows, but I think im missing something... Im told that there are extra brackets - adapters to fit the window motors up (I pulled just the motors out of the parts car assuming that was it)
Am I missing parts? Does is look different to yours @PaulG?

I'm rusty on it. But you need to swap the motor with arms over.
