Finally got this behemoth out, she's a cruddy mofo
What an absolute nightmare to pull out
Car was left with us many years ago due to it being extremely smokey, the last image shows why XD
The turbine wheel is totally missing, might dig it out of the exhaust for lols.
Ive got 10, spare 139mm forged rods, 5 in a motor and 5 boxed.
Ill likely build this up on the side - new rod bearings, cleanup the pistons and rings like I did on the R, block off the rear oil drain and get it ready for the 240.
Tossing up if the B6304 will be boosted as proof of concept as all of it will transfer straight onto the B6284T.
Id like to see how the management will handle an adjustable FPR, but by the time Ive modified the pan for a return and wasted $100 on braided oil feed line from the sender on the opposite side of the block, I may as well start off with the right donk.
The parts bin currently has a HE351, a set of 6x 550cc injectorinos, a turbosmart FPR2000 and heap of speedflow stuff I had spec'd for the Holset ages ago because they were on clearance nearby.
Ideally I'd like at a minimum of 400kw at the rears, but the stock auto will likely die way before then if the HE351 dosn't side limit me before that happens
Ill be avoiding driving the 240 again until I replace the rail with a Nuke unit as the front plug on the rail has decided to totally shit the bed and Id prefer not to burn her to the ground.
Next up?
Probably more on Doris
