So I have decided to make my own Benchracing thread, becoz I have too many ideas and need someone to tell me how stupid I am.
Can admin delete the whole Getto Top Mount Thread or merge to this ?
So my +Turbo bits are coming along nicely, just need LT to send me the last bit of stuff and I just have to pay him for that.
So got me wonder, LT is goina give me a TD04-16T, so I would be running it for a while, till the ECU is running smoothly.
After that, I was planning to run a Holset, but I just think from a 16T to a Holset, is a big jump, so I was thinking is there any turbo that is bigger than the 16T, had a suss around, came up with 2 "upgrade" target.
Evo 8 turbo, TD05HRA-16T-10.5T, ~$350 + a J pipe, so I don't have to swap the exhaust housing ?
VL Commy T3 Turbo ~$400 rebuilt from my local mechanic, just machine the stock 90+ Manifold to port it to fit ?
I have been wondering is the Commy T3 actually bigger than the Garrett TB03 that came in older volvo Turbo, and are both actually bigger than the 16T ?

Only problem I think will be the Turbo sitting too high and the turbo sitting too close to the head. Just get two exhaust flange, and then weld some straight pipes in between the exhaust flange ? if its too high, just angle the pipes slighty down ? cheapest most getto way ? I reckon some NA Manifold from wreckers might be less than $20 - $30, get the exhaust flange and some scrap piping to weld it up ?
