Vee_Que Its behind the shot :p nah, I did clean up to a degree to fit more 122 parts. Got my front panel back finally. sat the grille inserts inside to see the colours together... Tempted to do more chrome/aluminium trim in black. Or even black bumpers for now.
deleted_user_160 Spray the bumpers black or satin black? Too many colors is why I decided to do all my trims/handles everything in satin black chrome, rather than some chrome some painted black.
deleted_user_160 Though temember all your window and door trims are silver anodised alloy. Which will give another color concept. I'll be doing an EH bumper set in satin chrome soon. See how it looks.
A_Volvo_Driver How will a 240 commando bumper go? Got to work on getting a commando for the rear too.
deleted_user_160 It won't. As its alloy. Well it can, though the expense v's being able to plate it properly vastly out weighs painting.
Vee_Que Was fun yesterday, replaced the qaurter window rubbers, the front window ones are not fun, they are riveted in and you need blind rivets to sqaush in. I didn't get them and used roofing rivets and shortened them more. Though I could have taken the centres out of stainless ones and peened them over... Fun job that would be! Got the rear windows and qaurter windows on with brand new channel guides etc sourced from cvi for the rubbers and the guides from P1800-122 parts. The kit is more comprehensive than the Swedish one I believe.
Vee_Que Completed rear windows less the yet to be polished stainless cover trims that need the rubber edging that is coming from cvi! Old and new qaurter window rubbers.. Yummy.
Vee_Que More progress. Front door windows. And stainless rear door covers And worked out the mounting for the gauges with the trim in place. Ended up using rivnuts on them as I will need to remove it easily.
Vee_Que I guess so? Final package arrived for getting the majority of the car together.... door seals, other rubber strips, brake parts. Now no excuse to not tear into everything!
Vee_Que Have two from the swedes too, have to say I'm happier with thier delivery, but skandix is half the price on shipping but charges more for items, in my case, it was down to availability of parts and how they labelled some parts on thier sites, like the door rubbers. And steering box kit.
Vee_Que Thanks to Elliot and Julian, got the parts car stripped further from where I had it. (dash. Wiring and doors etc etc were already out)
A_Volvo_Driver Nice, have you got time to swap in a head/cam and do the timing on Hank? Happy to help where I can on your build
