deleted_user_160 Just mentioning red and red doesn't seem to be an issue for my wagon. And after a Alex was the one that said I should paint my bonnet Matt red, rather than the satin black that I did. :/ Huge clash of color

Vee_Que @blondebikesjay dipped the rusty bumpers, they are pitted, too much work to make it perfect, I plan to re chrome them in a few months.. So I painted them after modifying them in order to go bumperette less. Strengthed the sway bar mounts. In the middle of the day today, my dipped clean rocker cover, the finish is horrible so I sanded the sides down, not perfect. Rebushed the front end, poly bushes the entire front end. need new balljoints, the one I ordered was incorrect.... :s
Major Ledfoot Vee_Que;91286 wrote the one I ordered was incorrect.... :s I so hate it when that happens! (Just had to re-order two Lumenition distributor kits for that reason - left-hand and right-hand pivot points on the points...) Progress is looking great. You're very wise to beef up the sway bar mounts on the lower A-arms, the welds are known to crack on 140s too.
Vee_Que I am doing it so it doesn't need to be done down the line when I am using it in hillclimbs etc. Once I have konis and decent springs on there. The end of the month is fast approaching and I need to get the big jobs out of the way asap, fit the dash and sort the wiring fitting out and test it. Anyone interested in an explanation on why I was worried about squish/quench? When I have time I can do a bit of a writeup. Im also thinking ill drill into to bottom of the sump for my oil temp sensor, but I don't know where they are meant to be on redblocks.

You've mentioned squish to me before, and I'm not sure what that means. Sure, I could look it up, but if you want to explain, that'll save me the time lol.
robv The temp sensor was smack dead in the middle of the driver side of the sump. If u know someone with a P1800 ask for a photo
deleted_user_160 The bars had excessive rust under the chrome from years of sitting around with poor chrome (Not uncommon) After I stopped he chrome off, I pickled the bars and removed 99% of all the surface rust. Which then exposed the severe pitting. This wouldn't be an issue if we were re-plating the bars as Alex wouldn't have ever seen this stage. We would have disked them then linished and started again for a better than new chrome finish. We will get there. Mostly I couldn't have these complete for Alex before the Christmas break, due to being so busy. So painting was the recommendation, they should still look the goods.

Vee_Que Motor is in, used an m40 from Spac that was ex Ralph? Tighter box than my m40 either way. Flywheel is lightened and balanced which is a bonus. @Fige helped out this weekend. Lowered the car down onto all fours, the front height will most likely be perfect. Rears... Good to carry people. Started rebuilding the front calipers, didn't order pistons originally, have them on order now... Cvi cannot be recommended enough!
