Sometimes it is very easy to get caught up and focus on the differences we have with others or get tangled in a heated session of bickering, but every now and then you're reminded of how good people basically are when they have a sense of 'mateship' (term used because of Straya day being almost upon us) as a result of a common interest.
This thread started as a mere request to see if someone would be kind enough to pick something up for me and hold it for a short period of time while I worked out when to head up and get it.
I'm in Geelong in Victoria. Kinda in the southwest of the state, more-or-less on the coast.
Prior to 16/1/2015, I bid on a set of wheels in Eagle Vale (pick up also available from Kearns, NSW) and asked (see below) if anyone was nearby to pick up for me in the (what I thought was unlikely) event that I won.
I won on the auction on 16/1/2015 and updated my (this) thread).
Within no time at all both @Philia_Bear and @Slowbrick had responded with offers to pick up.
Ryan ( @Slowbrick ) was going to be in the area and was nice enough to pick them up for me on 18/1/2015. He left them at his parents place in Campbelltown.
As awesome timing would have it, @bgpzfm142 is about to do a trek to Victoria and is actually already headed to Geelong to meet with @240Joe .
Bob ( @bgpzfm142 ) contacted me on 19/1/2015 with an offer to act as a courier.
Bob, Joe & Ryan are all working on the most logical method of pick ups and drop offs just to help someone else out.
I've never met Bob or Ryan in person before but obviously owe them a few beers.
So, perhaps, before we think about showing frustration or smashing out an insult from behind a keyboard, this is a fantastic example of how awesome our little network is - all because we share a common interest.

fronts are 19 x 8.5
rears are 19 x 9.5
(my current wheels are 20 x 8)

Ryan ( @Slowbrick) picked them up for me today and was awesomely happy to do it.
As a side note, I now need to get them from Newcastle to Melbourne/Geelong, but thats another story.

While in town, I'd also like to purchase some DVS bits from you - like, 4 blue Nuke cam gears and a couple of those Nuke fuel rails - if you have 'em in stock.
