Would someone who has done this conversion successfully like to put together a list of the components and their part numbers for this swap? Not only does it assist others to do the same swap, it saves those who've done the swap the hassle of remembering which component they used if and when something breaks and needs to be replaced.

Don't think anyone has done it yet
I'm sure thread will be updated once it happens though

We are doing it. And I have all the parts listed already.
What I can do, is ask Alex to take a couple photos during the times I'm not there, to further illustrate.

It's done. Mostly went smooth. Aw71 740t crossmember suits it perfect moved forwards. The shifter is at the very edge of the shifter hole so yes good bye to the ash tray. Tailshaft was easy. Had to shorten the front half 120mm for the spline into the box to have 25mm room.
Also make sure you have a Throwout bearing for a flat flywheel and the right one for the dished flywheel. This car has a custom length rod currently to make up the leverage difference as the car had to go. Mount is simple to have made too. Car drives well even if it sits slightly to the right in the tunnel hole.

the box sitting slight right in the tunnel, does nock on the shifter hole, slightly, so the grinder will come out tomorrow and a few more mods made.
We should be at voldat open day on the weekend. You can have a sneak peak.
It drives a lot better than before doesn't it Alex.

Which gearbox did you use? And which adaptor?
Vee_Que
The one at the top as talked about by Jay and Nick.

Pics? so it came up short, a big problem?

So was it the RSI or Yoshifab adaptor? Any reason not to use the Kaplhenke adaptor?
Was it the Falcon or Commodore box?
deleted_user_160
All that info on the box required is in the thread. It's not just a matter of pic a ford or holden box. The input shaft needs to be the right measurement. T5 are not all the same.
The adaptor is a one off. Not pre purchased.
For simplicity and price, I would recommend purchasing one, unless you have access to a laser cutter or cnc machinist. I will post a couple photos shoetly.
Dauntless
I'm fairly sure the Mustang 302W input shaft can be fitted to either the Falcon or Commodore box, so that shouldn't be an issue.
What is the "Face to shifter" measurement on your gearbox? And what was it from?
nickm
AJ the pictures were taken by me. the part no. are available on ebay. commodore box for a 740.
Dauntless
The reason I ask is the ashtray has to be removed to fit the gearstick, and I'd like to know which gearbox was used to cause this problem.
Vee_Que
I thought it said up there he had a commodore box but that is what is being used. It is .5" longer. It is a tight fit in the trans hole and will bang slightly if you want the right tailshaft and gearbox heights.
I hope to have some time to upload and organize the pics Tuesday.
