I have a small machine at home, though it is a domestic grade machine. It's not bad but I would like something better.

Its the bean grinder and keeping the beans in a self vacuum , powered canister that makes the big difference. Give me fresh roast ground powder and I can make an amazing brew with the stove top!
We must meet at my Brothers in Chilwell Ash , he is a nut and has all the gear , does a mean brew.

After an overnight drive, The Noodle is back in its mountain lair with 2 engines in its cargo area - a big thanks to @POM and the Berry Moor Group yesterday who got a couple of belts fitted at very short notice, which meant I didn't have to wrestle the thing all night.

An interesting discovery was how much better the 16V ran on 98 - about 488km to 44 litres, compared to about 370km or so for roughly the same amount of 91 fuel.

It was great to meet everyone and doing so made for a very enjoyable and memorable trip.

The guys at Berry had a very full diary for the workshop on Tuesday, so they couldn't do a compressor change that day (when the old one seized, it might have sent gunk up the lines, and if they did the job, they wanted to do it properly).

So Mark arranged to get new belts to be put on the power steering pump and the water pump, and that did the job well.

It even got a bit chilly on the way home, so I needed the heater rather than the a/c!

Like the others have said it was good to meet you in person Bob, as rushed as it was (that tends to be the case when I meet most forum members, for one reason or another!).

You've pulled off one of the bigger and more elaborate parts distribution runs of recent times, despite the adversity of having no AC or PS, well done!
