So had a bit of a fail last night. One of the oil cooler hoses' heat sleeves caught the steering column u-joint and when Nina made a turn in a car park, it grabbed the hose and pulled it clean off the fitting. I found the hose clamp in a puddle of oil in the shopping centre. Nina parked the car and shut it off quickly, so it was okay. I had nothing on, decided #yolo went down to the car park, pushed the car down a level so it was under cover (it was raining), and re-attached the hose. There must be damage to the hose somewhere as by the time Nina got back to Eastwood, the oil warning light came back on and there's a moderate drip drip drip of oil under the car.
So I'm just going to delete the oil cooler setup altogether. I'm going away on Saturday so the car can just sit for a week or two. I need to source a new filter thread (3/4" -16) or maybe buy one from Volvo, and a couple of nuts so I can fit it without galling the threads.
