hi all, looking for alternatives for the fronts seats of my 240. any suggestions are much appreciated thanks!
Wanted: Front Seats - 1989 245 GL
Alfa Romeo ones fit easily iirc but they certainly want too much money now the wreckers know people want them....
If you can do a bit of steel cutting , welding and drilling you can make adapted bases for any seat, mck it with cardboard?
ooh, really like that idea! got a welding kit back home to use and practice on, so im keen to do that.
i understand to be methodical and measure twice with anything.
have any tips for creating a seat base in particular?

I bought a pair of Alfa seats recently at a Melbourne wrecker, $100. the leather on this brand looks good quality. If you can find some they look good for putting into a Volvo. In my case they are going into a 164. Hoping that it will be better for manual driving. I think it would go into a 240 very easily as the mount system is very similar.

A BIT OF ANGLE STEEL FROM HARDWARE (oops caps) but look online , look on here , its been done a lot.
Im no trainer , i dont know your skills , give it a bash , be sure its welded well if you weld , put extra screwws and rivetts in if you rivet , overkill is good!
