ashley186 The bootlid is 'roughly' finished. Ive put it back on the car (which isnt at my house) and found i will need to make a small adjustment. I was hoping someone could check what the width (and the height of the back piece) of the 240 Sedan Back seat is? I am looking at new seat material and trying to gauge which way i need to run the material (but dont have the car with me).
jamesinc ashley186 width (and the height of the back piece) of the 240 Sedan Back seat is This is not a super easy question to answer, the pieces have a bunch of contouring in them to fit around the wheel arches and panels Edit: ohh you just want rough dimensions for upholstery - I'll go measure a back seat
ashley186 AshDVS The showster wheels might get me through engineering, Koya KF124 is one i like, but at 4K for a set, id be wanting a mint fitment hahaha
AshDVS ashley186 Getting the fitment right is fairly easy. there's a heap of calculators that will help and you'll be able to measure everything you need to get your offset and width spec where you need it. $4K is reasonable for a fully forged set. Rotiform have a similar looking option to the KF124 if you're ok with saving cost at the expense of weight. Not sure if Rotiform agents in Australia will be able to accomodate a request for an exact offset though.
jamesinc 137 x 70 (back), 137 x 55 (base) All units cm. Super approximate though, that's the fabric parts, the vinyl side pieces I don't know, I'd have to remove the seats to measure them. 137cm is the straight door-to-door distance across the seat base.
ashley186 AshDVS yeah I've been using the willtheyfit site to look at the delta between the standard and aftermarket options. Rotiform were my first choice, have quite a few styles i like but it seems the local agents only have a subset of offerings.
AshDVS Willtheyfit is pretty good. Between that and doing some measurements on the car, you'll be able to get pretty accurate with your offset and width specs. Variation in tyre sizes between manufacturers can be a little tougher to work through. I ended up spec'ing 18x8 ET42 (F) and ET36 (R) Koya SF05s for my V70 and they're a nice fit. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyre I chose in 225 40 18 ended up being a tag closer than I'd like for rear arch clearance though.
ashley186 With a bit of use, it should stretch and look a little better. The headrests are no good, the covering is coming off, and it's too complex for me to recover. I'd also changed the retainer clips for them because the postage for replacement ones was sickening Hoping to find a more modern headrest that is easy to re-cover instead.
