Cleaned the cars today and thought the tt was a bit rough . ( it had a respray a year ago and had been smooth ever since) .

Last weekend next door had their house painted by a company that sprayed the house rather than brushes.

Here is some pictures after I've washed the car

The whole car feels like sandpaper, here's the rear screen after 20 mins of trying to get some off

So question is people's how can this be resolved ? Hopefully a company can sort this out .Wife was almost in tears . Next door aren't in atm . ?

This is 100% on them. Don't do anything more to it. Straight to a high quality vehicle detailer for diagnosis and quote in writing.

Call your car insurer also, possibly home insurance cos it feels like a grey area

What about your house itself.

Windows will also need cleaned, whole house perhaps.

Cheers guys for the input, it's appreciated. I'll try and see if I can get somewhere this afternoon .

Was it the roof or sides of house that got painted , or both.

If sides of house the painters should have installed plastic drop sheets from the gutter.

If roof the painter should have used thicker heavier paint at low pressure.

Call your car insurance who will follow it up

It's like a bandstand on the front of the house , I'm home now I'll go take a picture....

Anyway im off go see some companies

Damn! Something similar but not quite as bad happened to our C30 some years back...we were down in Lakes Entrance and it either happened while parked at our accommodation or while I was parked down near the marina while having lunch (maybe they were painting a boat?) Anyway I was pretty pissed off. Fortunately it was a silver car so didn't show as much as you could feel it. I ended up having to use a razor blade to scrape the paint off the sunroof glass and windscreen.

Went and talked to the guy who actually painted it last year, he was gob smacked as the whole car is covered , $800 - $1000 . He put me onto someone else as well so waiting for the other to get in contact with me . Next door still not in as it's their 2nd home ..

At least the 850 was tucked away in the shed I suppose

I'll give him a ring as well mate ?

So I went to Pro Shine today . He quickly done a bit on the quarter panel and came up a treat , so I've booked it in for march for 2 days .

Next door turned up today , turns out the company actually painted it the wrong colour and then threatened her that it's the colour they wanted. Clearly the colour is magnolia and should have been white but hey not my problem. But she quite afraid of the painter . Hmm I wonder how this is going to pan out . I'm kinda expecting him to turn up on my door this week ....

Next door has contacted the painter and he has apologised and offered to pay for the damage. Just got to wait till march for the car to look decent again .
