Hi all,
I recently had to replace a portion of my clutch hydraulic line near the slave cylinder after the rubber hose part wore through and burst.
I've installed the new part but am having a lot of trouble bleeding it.
With the bleed screw at the slave cylinder open, pumping the clutch pedal doesn't seem to move any fluid and is very easy to move. I have read a couple of places that a reverse bleed process by which you pump fluid via a syringe or similar back through the slave cylinder via open bleed valve is a good strategy. I tried this and cannot move any fluid back this way- the syringe is very hard and will not allow any fluid to push back through the system.
Am I missing something here? Why is this so hard, and is there a better approach?
Thanks
