Nah, the blue interior doesn't come here. I suspect its going to come but Volvo Aus seems to have gone for cheapest possibly that matches or beats model Y on specs
Egads is getting a Fjord blue C40 single motor
Only thing I have turned off and not using is steering assist cos while its the least annoying/intrusive out of the 3 I've had with it it's still just a bit crap without perfect lines and a good road

Yeah, we rarely use steering assist. It seems like it forces you to tug on the wheel (edit: too often and too hard) and yeah, I guess it might be OK on a straight freeway but not that great around any but the most gentle curves. If I wanted the car to drive me I'd take a taxi! ;)
Yeah, only place it was OK was on the newly redone bits of the M5 so I can see the idea, just no good here, thats where it didn't seem to jerk so much. On the Hume proper it kept jerking a little to keep in the lane cos of the mild bumpiness
One interesting wrinkle is non removable headrests on the left and right in the rear as we have a real high booster seat. Solvable but I expected removable without real surgery/tools. Ah well, new seat time, old seat fits in the middle anyway

Yeah I guess they sacrificed ease of removal to have them automatically fold forward when U lower the rear seats. You can also lower the headrests in the centre screen menu somewhere, and I think you can also ask Google to lower them for you...could be fun if you have some unsuspecting rear passengers LOL!
Oh, and while we're on the asking Google, we try to do almost everything via voice control while driving as it's a PITA to do anything on the touch screen without taking your eyes off the road. It's pretty good when it has an internet connection, but seems to go stupid when you lose connection for even simple things like "set fan level 1"...not sure why but I guess since it's not set commands to do things, it has to go up to the Google server, interpret what you're saying and relay that back to the car as a command.
I'm fairly set and forget on climate which seems to be all that doesn't have a button control that I use while driving.
Switched to another seat which we had which fits better so that problems solved, still a small gap behind but much more normal and seat doesn't budge
How are you finding it in terms of charging and all that? Lot of people still toeing the "EVs DoN't WoRk OuTsiDe CiTiEs" line
I was fine with the 150 range on the ioniq for anything in the region so the c40 totally rules. Haven’t thought about range day to day going in and out of Canberra as I please and charging at home up to 90%
Charge speed was so quick that ordering and eating my McDonald’s at Sutton forest charged me up to 90% which was heaps more than I needed

We've found the same thing with even a 50 kW fast charger - by the time you've had a sandwich or coffee and sweets in a cafe, the car's charged back up to 80-90% ready to roll for the next leg of the journey. Had a great run down to SE Melb suburbs from Daylesford today - this car loves the warm temps. 16.6 kWh/100 km vs. our overall ownership average of around 22. 5 kWh/100 km. We did get V2.5 OTA software update yesterday, but I don't think it would have made much difference to the efficiency.

Let them keep toeing that line...means more free chargers for those of us who already have EVs! :)
You know I'm a big EV guy.... but there was zilch from Dubbo to Borken hill except for 15amp 240AC... parking for 20+ hours every 400KM would suck
the ev charger coverage aligns pretty well wit population coverage... right now we are at the vodashit stage... when we get to hellstra it will be better

There's NRMA fast chargers in Dubbo, Cobar, Wilcannia and Broken Hill now so it's probably doable. Of course there are still a lot of places you couldn't go but it gets better every month!

The ones in Cobar and Wilcania were both dead in July when I went through, they had 15amp outlets available as an alternative

Oh brother... that's pretty pathetic! I hope Tesla eventually open their network as they seem to have no reliability issues.
This detail on the side of the rear lights

is bloody beautiful
Like a city scene from Sweden behind the Volvo script
The city maps of sweden in the trim in the front is nice too
