All, I'm chasing a pair of tan/beige 240 front door pockets. With fasteners if you have them!

Must be able to send to Sydney.

They don't have to be perfect, if there is a crack or two that is fine, so long as there's no fragments that are missing entirely.

If you get the urge to order some from Sweden I'll goi in with you for some too.

That or we get one scanned for 3D printing?

I don't have a printer but I can either get it done though work or buy one. Or go to a specialist..

I got a black reproduction set from Voluparts in the US - they have all 240 colours.

They resell Swedish Car Parts' lines, and they sell to OZ (ramrod tells me that SCP doesn't).

They are currently A$250/pair + shipping, I'm not doing a group buy, I am looking to spend more like $50.

^ Ouch. :( Shows how much has changed since I ordered mine.

It's $100k USD for tool steel injection moulds to be made and they are good for around 100k units

I think I have a couple. But it will also be a couple of weeks so no good if it's urgent. Also think I might have a really good set of dark brown.

I did an experiment using leftover high quality fiberglass and resin (not bunnings) on the interior and the plastic hasn't warped of failed, very strong. Might be worth it if you're just doing a functional repair.

So the mould represents $1/unit, understood!

$0.50 per unit because large mold and your doing a pair per injection cycle

I think you might be able to get aluminum molds made using CNC instead of EDR... for around 10-15k

they would be good for ~1000 units

so assume $20 per pair and they look mostly "ok"

actual injection molding with ABS would increase price to around $50 per pair

so $50k investment, have 950pairs (5% reject rate) and then you need to sell all of them

IMHO $250 pair is over the top... but I think I would want to be running a minimum 50% profit margin because risk... so I'd be doning $100 pair... and how many am I going to be able to sell at $100 pair?

If the DK brn are not snapped up I'll be keen.

No worry's. Doing flood recovery work, so still at least a week away to look. For some reason the dark brown is not so brittle.

Yeah, tbh I'd take brown or black too, blue or grey would look weird though.

It turns out I have just one brown.

I can do two blacks for $90 each
