Urethane is always going to transmit more vibration. In some applications it wont have the same service life as rubber either, rubber prefers to bend/move and return to its original shape more often over a longer period of time.
That said, its really good in the upper engine mount as it doesnt 'allow' as much movement (it's harder and is solid in that place rather than having a 'floating' pin in the centre, not fully surrounded)
However, if you're rubber mount up here is chewed out or broken, the firewall one is likely to have had some wear too, same with the trans torque mount and likely the RH lower engine mount. The hydraulic lower engine mounts do fail but not as commonly as the top one and firewall one.
