Data sheet for Stag Jointing paste.
The Davis Craig kit comes with its own thermostat that slides between the top radiator hose and the radiator nozzle.
You seal the gap with stagtight its a maroon couloured sealant and tighten clamp back up.
Use a flat clamp not the grooved one that bites into and destroys hoses.
The other end of the thermostat has a variable resistor type set up that allows you to adjust on/off fan temp when running the engine.
Use a self drill and tap screw to attach it to panel vertical to radiator.
Just wire up power to following wiring diagram supplied.
I used it for years racing the 144.
The 740 thermo fan was easily mounted to radiator support brackets.
I didn't run a fan on the water pump as can be seen in the photo.
Shroud is a must to funnel air to back of engine block as I was informed by Vince Harmer many years ago.
He was a great help with advice over the years of biulding the 144 as it was all funded by myself privately.
You'll already have the injection rated alternator to help power fan so all good.
Mercedes oil cooler mounted to bottom of radiator bracket , see photo 1 for fitments to engine block , filter mounted behind headlight.
