  • Looking for complete exhaust system for 850R wagon

I have an 850R wagon and the cat converter is rattled. Rather than putting in a new exhaust system I was thinking to salvage one from an 850R that might be heading to the wreckers.

Let me know as I’m looking to fit a new one in asap.

alternatively, should I be looking to replace with a new one and if so, which way should I go?

Get under car with screw gun and put Tek screws into the cat, hit with mallet , if rattles, put more screws into the body of it till it doesn't rattle.

Getting onebuilt is best bet

Can get downpipes still from aftermarket.

The best and easiest repair: Visit an exhaust shop.

Yeah car will be gone for 90 minutes, return with brand new cat, cost about $250 or so, it's not a terrible option really

Rattles cat is just the medium inside has broken off the body, the Tek screw fix is done at workshop I go to.

Thanks all.

Alternatively, would you recommend a new exhaust system that can be "bolted on"? I would prefer a complete change - dump pipe all the way to the tip. What would you recommend?

For around $1200 - $1500 , 3" turbo back with a 200 cell cat . Drive in drive out . That's what I have on my wagon ?

I'd say maybe it'll be a bit more, turbo backs on the 240s cost me $1200 until covid and now they cost $1600

Yeah fair point actually as nigh on everything has gone up in price.

Are these kits you’re talking about? Where can I find them?

Kits you can get from USA and Europe but shipping is expensive so having one made by a muffler Shop is cheaper. It also fits, as some kits seem to not....

Do I really need a dump pipe to extract max performance?

Muffler/exhaust shop . Find someone local and have a chat with them to see what you'd like . I went with no cat first but found it too loud so went back and had a 200 cat put in ..

How much performance increase do you want? How much do you wish to spend? The two are interlinked.

I'm talking about custom-made mild steel exhaust systems with a 200-cell cat, a resonator, and a muffler.

A larger diameter off the turbo system is hardly more expensive than std diameter so why not benefit.
