Ok guys Ben and I checked the hose between the fuel pump and the pump housing and it’s fine. In place, good condition and no splits. There was plenty of pressure in the line when we removed the connector from the top of the pump unit.
While watching it idle the AFRs would sit at 14.7 for a bit then swing lean (16’s) and rich (11’s) a few times with a short period of 14.7 between. Eventually it will stall when rich. The car sounds like it’s idling steadily up until the stall, no variation in idle speed… makes me think the wideband may be failing.
So I’m thinking it’s either poor fuel pressure regulation, a flakey MAF, or the Wideband oxy sensor is failing. (The car is modded to use wideband input only)
The plan of attack is to watch the fuel pressure while it’s idling to see if there are any fluctuations.
Then swap in a new wideband oxy sensor.
Finally try and get another 960 MAF for testing.
Can anyone think of other tests to run?
