I just ran into a hurdle with my 79 242GT, It had a blown head gasket and I found the head is corroded and the cylinder wall on No2 is very damaged.
So i am looking for a good condition B23 out of a gt, or a complete turbo conversion setup b23/b230.
Even would be happy with a wrecked 740T,

You have an excellent local mechanic in Dubbo: Neill Halliger - RPM at 17 Jannali Road, Dubbo - 0439 838 976.
He has a large number of Volvos - knows a great deal - brought my V70 Estate back from the dead - and I think has most iterations of the Volvo range.
I can also recommend Thornleigh Engineering - they did a fantastic repair of my 240DL head that was badly corroded. Can't find their number. Will msg it asap.

Thornleigh is expensive but you have their invoice for contact details & what they did. If details are insufficient I took photos & their nearly $1000 charge should be recorded in their archive.
Very busy trying to clean the garage & sell whatever i can.
