rado It's good reading this . And at the last cars n coffee I got to see the difference between the Do88 and the ipd Intercooler and piping set up . @shadycourgette , she has the do88 and I have the ipd set up . A fair bit of difference especially around the intake to airbox. The ipd isn't in the way as the Do88 is . I was eventually going to go Do88 but I don't think I'll bother now as it's running a treat , 3" maf , 3" TB with slightly modified piping into the ipd pipe. I'm running original ecu now green injectors and boost to around 15 surprisingly. And fueling is spot on. Obviously tune next , so you can run it with no drama without a tune . Just done over 400ks in 2 days without a hiccup .
Yeah it’s a bit disappointing that the do88 RIP kit doesn’t play well with the stock airbox, they must’ve had some feedback as there is now a disclaimer on their website. I did read that some people made the snorkel fit by cutting an inch off the pipe where it joins the throttle body. I might try that before looking at other options. I did see this set up using flexible duct tubing which doesn’t look so bad.
