Oh , nice one! I like an 850 T5 , they seem to go harder than later v70s , if they go I guess! Maybe James's T5 motor into it if he wrecks it? What's the hg...

The V70 tail light were put on before I bought her.
So in my mind they are what should be there :) (I cant even visualise 850 tail lights)

I did discuss the white n white with the Mrs and came the same conclusion.
I figured they would probably get dirty and look the same white one day :)
and white is easy to paint over...

@AshDVS‌ I do like the idea of going for 17" and getting some of your caliper adapters.
But I've got 2 things going against me. The tyres are fresh, and decent. And the brakes have just been redone, new rotors and pads !

850 tail lights have amber indicator lenses, apart from that they are essentially (although not exactly) the same.

Putting the 302mm discs with calipee brkt with 16" wheels is good upgrade when discs are needed or sell near new discs and get em? I have the brackets if you need but no discs.
I personally would have black wheels.
It is becoming common on Golf GTI , AMG A45 , others are doing it , they copied me ...

If you've got decent tyres on the thing and brakes have been recently done, that's motive enough to keep it 'as is', at least for the short-term.

I'm not a fan of the 280mm brakes on T5 and R models - I dont feel they're adequate for a car of that power level, particularly when loaded (passengers or cargo), BUT.....
You can make a night and day difference with pads in braking performance and attain some good pedal feel with a change of brake lines, particularly on the front.
If you're changing lines, its a good opportunity to flush fluid, replace with decent stuff (I like Motul RBF600) and you'll see huge improvements.

I hear you about 280mm feeling small, i remember coming down Bells Line of Road in the back of Richmond with a heavily loaded 850R. (not towing)
I didnt think it was going to stop !

For the most part the brakes are working ok.
There is some strange lumpyness when coming to a complete stop. the pedal feel doesnt change but its like part of the rotor is either greased or sticky. Not sure if its coming from the front or the rear.

This car is for my wife to learn to drive in, so it doesnt need to be hot rodded just yet :)

Good pads help heaps. The ride on 16" is a little nicer than the 17"

I have no idea what pads are on there now, but they dont make noise, work and have plenty of meat.

Yeah, i think 17's would be a bit harsher. (I'm not interested in going bigger than 17)
I'm used to them from my old 850, so it wont be anything too unusual.
But the main reason is to fit bigger brakes.
But like I said, its still aways off.

Got busy on the weekend and got a few things done.
Oil flush and change along with some intake cleaner.

Pulled the side moldings off to give them a touch up.

Added some LED DRL where the fogs were:

And broke the parker when removing it to splice in the DRL.
Epoxy fix:

Which failed as I installed it.
So this worked:

Fixed the glove box release.
Tapped a hole in the arm and installed a screw (should be stronger than the original tab)

Can't wait for a Swedish flag on bonnet to match the blue trims.. .and on mirror caps...
Are the lights in front bar adjustable?
I am considering , if my R lights there don't give me good light ( like how bad 850R ones are. ) I will hijack the unit with some other lens / unit to make em good , really want the 5 or 7" H4 down there but would ruin the front , look like a Rex .

Is the blue undercoat/trial or final colour?

Yes Les, the LED's are adjustable (as far as aim and position goes)
I've made a little bracket that a attaches to the regular fog bracket.

Ash, the blue is a trial, irs done with plasti dip, so if we didn't like it it can come off.
There is pics in the PB group/comp that you might have already seen ?
