Sorry to bump in..

I have booked myself an accommodation from 11th Nov to 12th Nov and Nov 14 to Nov 16 at Nightcap at Hume Hotel. It's better for me to have a good rest and my 740GL. Any Melbourne drivers who wants a night pit stop. Here's a link https://www.booking.com/hotel/au/hume.html

I tried calliing BIG4 Sawtell but the line was busy and the office closes at 6PM.

James, I tried to book accommodation but all villa's are booked for the 12th/13th, have they blocked them for you? Is the only way to call and book? Cheers and thanks for an only 5hr drive this year ?

It looks like they're blocked from James. Like what he mentioned BIG4 Sawtell have provided the space for this year's show'n'shine, and have also organised discount accommodation with options ranging from campsites up to full cabins.

I wanted to extend my stay at BIG4 but the price is kinda fiesty.

Yes that's correct, big4 have marked them as unavailable to the general public for a while, we can book by calling them and mentioning the show.

My last bump.

Everything sorted. I woke up 9:45am late from bloody Kitchen Cleaning. Anyway I called Big4 and finally booked in from 12th to 14th. I've placed a security deposit held and I'm ready to go.

The line was busy yesterday because the internet/telephone line was buggered.

Damn this is going to be so exciting! My first experience! ?

I was tempting to reserve that but I was recommended from Kate (Big4 Receptionist) to book in Sunset Studio. Just incase of bad snores. ?

Roping a mate into bringing an extra vehicle from the fleet so i've booked twice. Also have to book an airbnb because i'll be bringing my dogs for the trip, unfortunately Big4 aren't pet friendly. Can't wait, haven't attended since Bathurst!!

Just had a quick play on Google Maps for the Victorians; it looks like staying inland (Hume to Gundagai and then across to Dunedoo and then Tamworth and Armidale into Coffs) would add 45mins (bear in mind Waterfall from Armidale to Bellingen has a load of roadworks at the moment so that skews the displayed time) over going via Sydney - it might be worth the 45mins in case Sydney is in gridlock hell.

We've done Armidale to Melbourne in 15hrs including breaks for the humans and the dog - Coffs is 2.5hrs ish from us.

Also dodges all the Sydney Toll roads....

I've heard Sydney Toll is extremely expensive than VIC eastLINK. Only CityLink is the expensive toll in Victoria.
