I am taking apart b23e kjet fuel distributor and cylinder 2 counting from front to back has a double banjo bolt where as all other cylinders had a normal single banjo bolt ill grab pics from web, just curious if this is normal of someone changed them in the past with what they had around and put wrong bolts back in

There is definitely a double banjo somewhere in the system but I can't remember off the top of my head where it belongs. I have two K-Jet 240s, if no-one else answers I'll take a look how they're plumbed tomorrow evening.

can you remember the purpose of the double banjo?

Not off the top of my head, it'll probably go to the cold start injector or something. I don't think it's supposed to be on cyl #2 though

I'm just looking at the system overview diagrams, I'd say the two lines that come off it are fuel return line and control pressure regulator line.

Also if anyone knows the name for this fitting on the kjet the end that screws into the injector

That is called a nut which is part of the injector fuel pipe and it threads onto the injector

It'll be an inverted metric flare fitting

Get in touch with Colin Duncan at

www.k-jet.biz he knows the system inside out.

Kjet system on my 242 has no double banjo fittings. All the injectors have there own port and are not shared, same goes for all the other lines on the fuel distributor block.

Are there 2 banjo lines coming off that bolt or is it just the single line going to the injector secured with a double banjo bolt?

Just remembered, when swapping over my fuel distributor recently injector 2 does have a longer banjo bolt and the banjo end of the fuel line is thicker as this fuel injector line needs to sit higher up to clear the top of the fuel distributor and the other injector lines.

I checked my car, I was right.
