Small update that has taken too much time but when working with old dirty parts much of the time is cleaning and checking before installing.
Have continued connecting things to the engine such as wiring, catch can, ignition wiring, coil etc.
Cleaned up the brake rotors with some sandpaper to remove the surface rust that has formed since the car has been sitting for over a year and gave the calipers a lick of paint to protect them from corrosion.
Installed the brake master and clutch master along with the lines and connected them both to the pedal box. Spent way too much time cleaning up the hardlines and installing them.
Got the power steering rack installed and need to hook up the lines. I accidentally damaged the high pressure line when removing the engine when it got caught on the cross member and bent. Hoping with some heat and persuading I can get it back in shape.
Painted the panel that holds the bonnet hinge in stone chip as it always ends up getting scratched and damaged. Not sure if it will leave it black or do it in body colour. Will decide later.
Nothing really big has happened, just a bunch of cleaning parts and assembling.
