To retrieve DTCs stored in the ECM memory:
*Switch on ignition to position II, do not start the engine.
The DTCs are displayed by brief operation (1 second) of the test button.
If the LED responds by displaying the flashing code 1-1-1, no faults have been detected.
If a fault is present, the LED will display the appropriate DTC as listed in the DTC tables. Note this is very slow.
Further DTCs can be retrieved by repeating the above until the first DTC is displayed again.
Erasing DTCs
DTCs can be erased only when they have all been displayed and the first DTC has been repeated at least once. The procedure is as follows:
*Switch on ignition to position II.
Note! DTCs must be erased with the engine switched off, otherwise the function cannot be guaranteed.
*Press test button and hold for more than five seconds.
*Await LED response.
*Before the LED goes out, press the button again and hold for more than five seconds.
*Switch ignition off and on.
*Start engine.
All DTCs will now be erased and all adaptive values reset.
