ramrod I have the whole diff with the speed sensor ready to go as well. The problem is there isn't that many 2 series left down here for a decent price any more.

It's not too difficult to pull the fuel distributor assembly out. You can separate the fuel head from the air box and drop the metering pin out and inspect it.

Fixing the K-Jet is definitely much easier than converting to LH-2.4.

jamesinc Yeah ive ben doing some googling and it appears that its pretty straight forward to do. Ill probably start that tonight if i get a chance.

Pretty sure i still have a whole b23 with the k-jet setup on it sitting out in my brothers shed from a sedan i had many many moons ago that got cut up for speedway, so worst case ill check that out.

I need to empty the car out too with all the spares that came with it so i have some room to move in there, its overall tidy inside but just needs a clean for what i can see

@Jaz - If worst comes to really worst, I've still got a whole lotta surplus K-Jet stuff from The GoaT, which ran fine until parked (it parked when it threw a rod....) I hung onto it all for VolDan who didn't end up needing it.

Egr removed, no wonder there was a leak.

Inlet manifold removed and most of the way out with all this, called it quits because it was pitch black and getting hard to see but struggling to undo the main fuel lines

Not stuck!

There are a couple of differences in the main body part and the part numbers, was planning on using the old lower with the new fuel distributor on it, but the part numbers are different, will it matter?

Everything thing is back together in here, egr removed and blocked off.

Had issues with the fuel lines leaking and a couple were split so made some new ones up which seems to have solved a lot of the leaks, just have a slight weep on one of the crush washers so I'll grab some new ones to fix that

Fires up and runs, sits on 2.5k revs for about 5 seconds then shuts itself down. Will restart after a minute or so and do the same thing.

Fuel pump runs the whole time while cranking, running and after it's shut down.

It has a couple of vacuum leaks still so would expect the high idle but can't figure out the running issue.

Do you lose spark when it stalls?

ramrod no idea, what's the easy way to check?

Take off the ignition coil lead from the distributor cap and touch it to engine ground whilst someone tries to start the engine

then if you have strong spark, test at the spark plug leads the same way

ramrod yeah I have good enough spark cause the car will run for maybe 5 or so seconds then shut down, it isn't missing or anything while it's running

That sounds like running out of fuel

ramrod yeah that was my thought, maybe the fuel filter is blocked? The pump runs the whole time so I'm assuming it's something else along those lines.

Yeah starts in starting fluid, or will start after maybe 20 seconds with the key to on and the pump running

Does it then start on starting fluid sprayed into the inlet?

If you power the fuel pumps, and pull the injectors and put them into some plastic bottles, then reach into the air inlet and push up on the metering flap to open the injectors, you might see if there's any change after 5 seconds.

Maybe you have a fuel line in the wrong spot after changing the fuel distributor?

It could just be a faulty KJet relay also.

jamesinc yeah I've got a couple of relays so I'll try that then pull intectors, it sounds fine when it's running and will start easy so I'm assuming it's nothing major

What happens when you hold the revs up high (open the throttle) will it continue to run?

ramrod na it stalls regardless of what I do, it will rev while it's running but still turn itself off
