If you had the pumps running, I'd say this is definitely a fuel delivery issue like debris in the system, blocked filter, etc. If that is the case then I would d/c the fuel delivery hose from the fuel distributor, run that into a bottle and see if it delivers fuel when the pumps are running. Unrestricted, it should pump quite a lot of fuel. If you have a coffee filter, you can pour the fuel back into the tank through the filter, and check for debris.
If the fuel delivery hose flows nicely, the restriction is in the fuel distributor/injectors. If it doesn't deliver a good stream of fuel, then either it's a pump/s issue or a fuel filter issue (or debris in the lines).
