Minimal bling is the best approach and when I get around to it I will modify the stock airbox to get rid of that silly blue pod filter too

Go back to a standard airbox with a good panel filter, sell off the shroud (people seem to love them so it'll sell quickly) as, with our ambient temps, a fully sealed airbox is a better proposition.

Hot enough to cook anything in there.
Is ceramic color coating going to be better for your tubes?
Temps arnt to bad I got the rip kit is ceramic coated already so is the exhaust manifold and the exhaust housing on the turbo. The strut bar and the shield around the pod is powder coated thats why the pipe are a slightly different shade of black.
I'm still waiting for a few bits and pieces to arrive before I get into some of the mechanical tasks, so I bought myself a caramel wheel (possibly my new favourite tool!) and starting going to town on removing 24yo pin stripes and the double sided tape residue from the wind deflectors.
Progress is a little slow but I havent had much continuous time on it either.
I've now got the whole LHS done (photo below is half way through) and have done the RH quarter panel.
Everything needs a good cut and polish, post paintwork.
Annoyingly, the pin stripe line was used as the masking line for a repair at a previous point in its life, so I may need to have the LR door painted too. Not sure yet.
Hopefully rear shocks for it arrive this week and I'll knock over the rear suspension next.
It's been a pretty successful week in terms of things arriving, but perhaps not so much in terms of actually getting anything done - just too busy with getting customers parts organised and I'm away this weekend.
I have had a conversation with the folks who are going to do the paintwork for me so hopefully that'll get done in the next few weeks.
Rear shocks arrived yesterday and the intercooler and plumbing have been sitting around for a little while. Wheels arrived today. Here's a little teaser -
And here's the intercooler. It's simply the Do88 'big pack'. I might not have bothered to do it but the stock one has signs of a light curb/parking block impact on the bottom and the factory early style 'reverse intercooler plumbing' kit is NLA, so I ordered the Do88 kit as the replacement.
Intercooler -
Wheels are suitable!
Are you happy with the quality on the I/C?
Weld looks a bot cold and lumpy from here.
It's ok. But a lot like any of this sort of thing that comes out of europe - by the time you land it, PWR stuff isn't particularly more expensive. Tanks are cast and can be viewed in the same way, functional but you're not going to stare at them and admire how gorgeous they are like I sometimes do when I unbox something we've had PWR make up.
Welds are much nicer than the 'R Sport' products range offered into the Focus market.
The advantage of Do88 offerings (over someone like PWR) is that I don't need to think my way through the hoses and pipework, I'll take it out of the box and fit it (and can then concentrate on other things).
What wheels are those Ash ? 18s as well ? Can't zoom in enough .....
I'm a sucker for Volans but that's just me ?
Nice intercooler by the way ?
Aftermarket , I like a bit of old skool

These are Koya SF05 in 18x8. Fronts are ET42 and rears are ET36 which will somewhat correct the narrower rear track of the FWD cars. They're very light.
Tyre (in the pic) are 225 35 18. I only had a single one fitted so that I can double-check clearances, etc. The tyre in the pic is a Kumho Ecsta PS71. Not sure (yet) if I'll run those or not. I'm not usually a fan of Kumho tyres and Michelin dont do a Pilot Sport 4 in 225 35 18. I'm 99% sure that 225 35 18 is the size I'll go with.
I'm a huge fan of the factory wheels too, though I like Titans the best. I also think that 17s look best on a P80 (except C70s) but brake choice dictates wheel size here.

Fix the Volans up , hang one in each favourite room and get some stronger aftermarket offerings with WIDTH , revel in tyre choice!
I had a Volan as a reel for my garden hose at my old place. lol. Not sure what I'll do with the Volans I have yet. Will likely sell them off.
TL_V70I like the wheels but I also like the look on this silver P80

The Wheels are similar.
I think these are oem Jaguar wheels but not 100% sure. Dark wheels on a silver car look great though.
Here's a better wheel pic -
My nephew just picked up a set of 19x9 Jaguar wheels for me , tyres included.
Guys dad had them on a long gone car.
Guys name is Rick Kelly.......
Nephew blown away and tried not to be a fanboi!
Ha!
Rick's Dad's wheels!
V70's always look good in black.
Interior is in excellent condition, are the seats a combination of leather, and fabric, or is it two different tones of leather?

Seats in S70/V70 T5 models (like this one) are half leather, half suede. In this case, the seats are really good which is a great shame as I loathe the beige, so they'll get ditched.
