markc88 Guys I assume a gurgling sound with my air con fan (and it gets worse when I turn right?!) on full and a wet passenger foot well means my heater core has a leak in it? Is this as horrible a job as I can imagine? Ant advise appreciated! Thanks Mark
Rob very, very easy mate. remove the cover under the glovebox, peel the carpet back, pull out the plastic shield. Drain coolant, disconnect heater hoses, undo screws from the underside of the heater box, pull down, tilt back, slide out passenger footwell. pretty self explanatory after that. cleaning the carpet is the biggest part of the job, make sure you do it properly though. there is always more coolant under there than you think. Make sure you buy genuine and new though.. I have had several 2nd hand ones and a couple of aftermarket ones fail prematurely.
Ex850R There is a heater core on eboy , anyone tried it? Sounds good , but... http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=360771828487&alt=web
AshDVS It's a heap easier to do than you may think. The toughest part is not spilling coolant inside the car. The video above is great and will prove useful.
markc88 This car is possibly for sale. Starting 2016 with 20 cars so thinking of unloading a few. I bought a 15' S60 Polestar today so will be driving that more as a daily proposition. I have my 245 wagon on Gumtree at an ambitious price, if anyone has a genuine interest happy to deal on the car. And I have a 71 manual 142s sitting in the shed as well. PM or call me if interested. cheers mark 0412 902 994
