Many fault warnings

On Oct 11, I ran the remaining 4 litres of new transmission fluid to complete the Gibbons method.

On Oct 12, I set out on a road trip to Bathurst. About 5 km from home, I stopped to fill the tank. As I departed the petrol station I noticed the ABS warning indicator on the DIM. Not long after, the message window said "brake failure - stop immediately", The speedo stopped working, the check engine light came on, the trip meter looked like this --:-- and I was stuck in 3rd gear. Even my Torque Pro app stopped working.

I pulled over and hooked up my VIDA/DICE. There were numerous faults shown. So I cleared them all (and ran the routine a second time). I now had no faults and had a flawless trip the rest of the day.

Then, one week later, after the car sat unused, I began my return journey to Sydney. I drove from my hotel to the track - no problems. I then drove to a petrol station to check my tire pressure before the trip home. When I re-started the car, I once again got the ABS warning. And the check engine light. (unfortunately, the battery in my laptop was dead and I didn't have my main power supply with me). So I went back to the track and used a work mate's computer and once again cleared the fault codes and set off for home.

Does anybody have any idea why I had these issues?

Tim, I was under the pump to get to Bathurst so I did not take notes of codes in VIDA/DICE. But as I said, on the DIM I had a check engine light, the ABS light, a red triangle for the brakes and a "3" where "D" normally goes.

I just now went out and started the car and have no codes.

Its likely that since the car hadn't been driven much in the week before my road trip that the battery was down. Then it sat unused for 8 days while I worked at Bathurst. Since then, I have had no faults. Fingers crossed all is good now. But I will be checking out the battery soon.

Timmeh, It happened again the other night. After driving about 40 kilometres, I stopped off at Maccas for a snack. When I got back in the car, I was getting the ABS warning. I did not have my Vida computer with me, but ran the fault code routine in my Torque Pro app. It came up with a speed sensor fault. Using the app, I cleared all codes and everything was good for the rest of the trip. Others forum members have suggested that it might be a damaged relucter ring or a faulty ABS sensor.

Don't know what to chase at this point, so I'll just have to continue to live with it.

Both bolts seem tight, but I need to purchase a 1/2" socket for my torque wrench to check for sure.

I believe it is 35 Nm plus 90 degrees.

Well, it happened again yesterday. but curiously, I had just reversed out of a parking space with a full left hand down. Got the ABS warning. But I simply shut it down and restarted and it came good. Ran a fault code check with my Torque Pro ap and got P0503.

Gonna get some new axle bolts and blue locktight soon.
