  • [NSW] Pair of 240 front seat base foams (or whole seats)

Chasing a pair of seat foams for 240 front seats. The lower foam. If you have whole seats I can deal, I'm just going to pull the foams out so not worried about the upholstery, just as long as the foam is OK. Can be any two seats, left or right it doesn't matter.

Thanks for letting me know, I don't think I'm willing to go out to Orange for a set of wrecker seats though to be honest.

Hi James, It was more a lead for all the cars. I did not want to put them on Radar because when I said "\ it is a dogs breakfast, I was being very kind. there are some good bits and more cars than I photographed. see below

Hi James, I needed a seat base foam refurbishment in my second ever Volvo, an 81 mustard 240. I had an upholsterer put in some new foam and it was economical and lasted.

I'd be thinking now all these 240's are 30-45 years old even the best of them wouldn't be worth swapping into another seat? That said, driving my 79 242GT last couple of days the seats are like new (orig) with 159 on the clock so anything is possible.

@ToomanyVolvos I've got foams from a '91 in my other '77 and they're mint, but generally I think you're right, good foams seem hard to come by these days. I might call an upholsterer and see what they would want for it.

I did my 81 way back in about 98, was done by an aircraft upholstery for $50 per seat with me pulling the seats for him.

I called around this morning and it is about $300/seat give or take. I may yet just pay it as these seats hugely let down an otherwise nice 244 but I'll keep hunting for a used set first. They said even if they do make new foams from scratch it would be easier if I can give them a good foam to use as a guide.

      I replaced these blue seats in the 240F+T with Alfa 156 Momos . Currently using one as a replacement for a torn tan leather. They are in good condition. No runners. Make me an offer
