Hi everyone
My names Luke and I'm from England, I lived in New Zeland for 8 years and moved back to the UK just before turning 18. While in NZ I learnt to drive at 15 in a 1986 Volvo 360 which got me hooked.
I now have a 1997 940 CD Classic turbo saloon. I have an m90 conversion to go in and a few goodies on the shelf including a 531 head, gold box, garret turbo etc and the goal is 250-300hp. Front end is fully polybushed and I plan to do the rear when I remove the slush box and fit the m90 kit.
I also have a 1986 Volvo 360 GLEi SE saloon that I restored over 4 years. I have a B230ET conversion ready to go in too.
And the last one is a 1986 Volvo 360 GL 5 door hatchback that I bought from someone on my street. It has done 3k miles in the last 21 years! Cambelt was done in 1999 at 87k miles and it is now about to tick over to 91k.
Oh and a 2003 Skoda Fabia VRS 1.9TDI with a remap (170hp and 392nm) but that's for sale as I hate modern cars.
Anyway down to business, I have broken four 940 turbos, i don't buy good road worthy ones I buy ones that are never going to back on the road and save the parts from ending up in the scrap yard.
I have been speaking to someone through ebay in Australia and he says there is a call for m90 conversions over there. What would the going rate be for a whole conversion package?
Gearbox
Pedal box
Slave cylinder
Dual mass flywheel
Gear linkages and stick
I can't remember what else is involved but the whole lot will be available.
I have my eye on a 1995 940 turbo drift car with a blown head gasket, a ruined body and welded diff. Which means I will have a complete m90 package available.
Let me know your thoughts people.
I will now go and mooch around and see what interesting projects everyone is up to.
