supermattyp Is anyone interested in buying either of my Volvos? I was informed by my local council that I'm only allowed 1 vehicle and one either needs to go or get parked 2 streets away. Since I only drive one car at a time I guess I should probably sell one. I really like both cars..they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I can make arguments either for or against keeping/selling each one. The 1992 244 B230FX auto, power windows, bluetooth headunit, upgraded speakers, very sharp condition.... It needs a little work mechanically but I ave already purchased the bits needed to make it right. I also have this upgraded 4-2-1 ceramic coated header ready to bolt on. The 2001 xc70 awd turbo is in VERY sharp, clean condition. I had a scare the other day that the turbo was blown but it is driving like new with no issues. I've put over 200k's on it without a hitch. Power everything. Everything works. Brand new IPD HD coils and recent service. If anyone is interested in either of these I'll sell the first one to get a reasonable offer and just keep the other...that's how impartial I am. Also, the 244 just came out of REGO last week but it has a clean pink slip as of saturday. The xc70 is going to be out of rego on the 4th but will pass inspection without any issue. It's only done about 9k k's since the last inspection last year. I baby my cars and take care of them very well. Sadly, since I was in the hosptial for 3 weeks and america for another I haven't had a chance to clean the cars up yet for pictures but I can provide them upon request. Any offers considered. Need to be reasonable though.. I'm not looking forward to dealing with gumtree.

supermattyp i often find I don't understand the slang so I just wanted to clarify. I thought he was under the impression I was selling these to buy something else....like "what are you looking for?"
Ben I can understand that. Funnily enough, 'what are you looking for?' and 'how much are you looking for it?' is another way of asking how much you want. That sort of difference between language is fascinating. It's the same with colours representing food, eg. green is chicken crisps here, but salt and vinegar in the Arab counties.
PaddlerEd Red is ready salted in the UK, blue salt and vinegar and green is cheese and onion. But, yep definitely some language differences. I get asked what do I mean at work sometimes.
supermattyp considering both engines are stock I didn't figure engine bay pics were really special but I'll do it on saturday. I think I'm deciding on keeping the xc70. It's been real plush for commute this week and I've averaged 10l/100k vs 8l/100k in the 244. I'm going to go arrange inspection and everything for the xc tomorrow on my lunch break I think and then print the green slip at work. Then saturday morning go get it rego'd for another 6 months at least. I may have to see if I can bribe mike to let me park the 244 at his place until it sells. It's not exactly legal where it is now and being out of rego might get snatched
Philia_Bear You can do everything online, no need to go anywhere, (its only the first rego when you have to go into the RTA in person) Your more then welcome to store the 244 at my place until it sells

I'm not the kind of guy to try to hide anything. I'm sure it's just because you guys don't really know me that well. i got some pics of the xc but I think I'm going to keep it after all. I'll get some of the engine bay on the 244 though for you guys.
supermattyp i did....you posted needing a car on FB and I commented that I was selling if you were interested. You never replied. Also, not to be picky, but when we were still finazling the sale you told me you didn't want it back because you had other projects...you'd rather I just sold it on...I was going to basically give you half....then drive the car a few months and then just give it back to you when I left...you said you didn't want it... but its cool. It's here waiting for you!
supermattyp So nobody interested in a neatly sorted 244 with a heap of new parts??? or is everyone holding out for engine bay pics? I can get them in the morning if I remember before work. I'd like to get this car sold/moved ASAP so it's not just hanging out in the wind. Once I get a little closer to leaving time (probably 30-90 days) I'll dump the Xc70 as well....just need it to get back and forth right now.
