Covid lockdown has helped get the ball rolling a little with the wagon (244 kept me busy over summer). After rebuilding the 531 head, I've decided to build a performace bottom-end as well for fun and drop it all in one day when it's finished. Luckily sourced a 1995 squirter block after imlachs wrongly labelled a 940 as an 850.. score!

Also bought some forged el cheapo chinese rods (yes, im on a budget). My original plan was to pair these with a volvo 16T and have a fairly reliable turbo build, but a few folks convinced me to do the forged block justice and up the performance. I was easily swayed.
Revised super maxxspeeding plan will now feature a bottom-mounted EVO 9 turbo with modified Tomei exhaust manifold to fit the b230 flange. Maybe..? If it all fits, and if i dont lose my patience and just bolt on the Volvo stuff.
