Anyone able to recommend where I can source these? Preferably in NSW/Sydney - I'd consider an whole vehicle but the Bride would likely frown upon it ....Tiny
850 seatbelts - black, both front & power driver's seat (black leather) for a modest price
What's wrong with your seats and seat belts?
Ramrod
Receptor (female) is broken and the belt is frayed. Driver's seat leather is knackered - if a replacement seat & squab can be removed from the seat frame that would allow mailing - but it must be black leather. Tiny

When you say black do you mean charcoal? I have just taken my 97 T5 off the road and the drivers seat in that is is pretty good. It's a bit worn but no cracks and still looks respectable. Would probably come up nice with a good condition.
I have seathelts too but not perfect. And maybe expensive to post as fairly heavy? For a 25 year old car, it might be worth sourcing brand new belts for peace of mind?
If you're interested I can probably head to where it's stored and get pics later in week.

G'day OD
Thanks for your reply. Belts are solid black however for abundant caution I'd appreciate a photo of the belt & its receptor, together with the driver's seat leather. I'm sure somebody will be able to confirm if the leather upholstery (seat & squab) can be removed from the seat frame without drama. If they can be removed postage would be much reduced.
The rain SE Qld needs is currently falling in Castle Hill so I can't go and look as my Estate is parked outside.
The driver's side receptor would be a good start also. Tiny
Would a V70 black seatbelt & leather seat upholstery fit? It might produce a result if they do.

I meant the seat leather. I have charcoal leather.
The belts are black.
Not sure if the leather can be removed. Someone else may be able to confirm.
I want to keep hold of the electric motors as spare for my R so would hope they are removable.
Not sure on the health of the receptor.
Should be able to check and get up to the car Thursday for photos.
I'll get back to you.

OD - brilliant - let me know the cost of both front belts - I'll duck the seat as black is the original trim colour. If your expansion coolant tank & fittings are in good shape I'd like them also. Photos of your vehicle might prompt other needs as I haven't driven it for over 12 month and after registration will undoubtedly have other issues requiring spare parts. Regards, Tiny

Belts have been removed. Didn't snap photos while they were still in the car and of course once removed had great difficulty trying to roll them out of the housing. They aren't perfect but are good. Yours for 50 bucks plus postage.
Also, anyone know if having the seatbelts removed will pose a problem with airbags if i reconnect battery and start car?
Argh those receptacles are a bitch to get to. I thought I'd get access with centre console removed so took that out, only to find a big metal lump in the way. Went to remove seats but am missing one of the airbag safety lock tool things so would only be able to do one anyway. If you're super keen I can go and get one of the tools from my other 850 and come back next week to remove seats for the receptacles.
Been kinda fun pulling an 850 apart though. Never done it before.

Oh yeah and my expansion tank is a bit of an ugly sight..
Or does someone know if it is safe to remove the seat then take the airbag lock tool from the removed seat and reuse it in other seat for removal or is it safest just to keep the lock tool in?
You can remove the tool (I assume you mean the plastic thingy that covers the impact trigger plate?) It won't set the airbag off unless you hit that trigger with something, so as long as you have the seat safely out of the way you can remove the tool, but from that point forward treat the seat with caution.OdinsRedblock;c-160903 wroteOr does someone know if it is safe to remove the seat then take the airbag lock tool from the removed seat and reuse it in other seat for removal or is it safest just to keep the lock tool in?
