  • [QLD] 240 Wagon Manual Ls1 6 speed v8

This was on FB marketplace about 3 weeks ago for 13k!
In regards to the price it’s nothing special. It’s in the “parts car” era of 240s. (1986 - 1991) its a lame colour way including the wheels. No genuine Volvo swag about it. Just another Volvo shell with an ls1

Then most 240s are lame..
I agree after enduring ownership of several of the money pits that only gave me some good times in the 87 245 but it was the biggest pain too...

Best part of this is the non Volvo....

You're right; it's not a 1987 740.

Those cars are super popular
Surely that’s sarcasm
Surely you get it....It's a Volvo forum...
No heater or aircon is a negative.
Lack of speedo is a fail.
The conversion and work must be sound ( has a mod plate ), it's a pity the small details couldn't have been sorted with the same attention to detail.

Was the '86 body the last of the non galvanised?

Yeah for $17k you'd want the whole package, and not having a working speedo is a bit dumb when it's such an easily fixed problem (signal modulator from the transmission)

Beyond that, though, a V8 240 wagon is a great idea, period!
The big question is;

Would we pay 17k for this?
Or pay 17k for the Turbo 244?

Without this old shitter, that nice car of yours wouldn't exist

Neither for me, I'd much rather make my own
