I'm rebuilding the A/C system in the 244 from scratch. I'm currently tearing down the compressor while I wait for a rebuild kit to arrive. Very cool little devices those old York compressors.
Anyway I can regas the A/C, but I'm looking for 1.1L of ester oil to re-prime the system once it's reassembled.
Anyone know where I can find it?
I feel like Volvo will charge $3,500/L for OEM oil. I'm actually looking at possibly using PAO100 oil instead, as it's more available and apparently HyChill works with it.
most AC places have it when you regass maybe it is like trying to get the gas. I would say you only need to coat the parts and add the oil when you come to pulling a vacuum on the system?
If you get a new receiver dryer and the correct orifice tube you can run R134a
(Yes, but my housemate and I between us have all the components necessary to vac out a system and charge it with HyChill)
