  • XC90 damage. Repairable or write off?

Yeah who knew something that wasn't European could be superior? Fancy that. Seriously @pauljloz , you seem to have an open mind - buy what you like, Volvo or otherwise

Ended up with a new T5 XC60. Good compromise with a few options and good deal.

"XC90 less" so accessories collected over the last 11 years in the for sale thread (then to ebay).

Update.

XC60 has been faultless so far.

Quick, quiet and lux +. Handling is "average" when pushed. The gen 1 xc90 R design is actually nicer to steer into a corner. 125i alternate (when my wife isn't using her car) is a constant reminder of this! T5 has plenty of poke, and endearing like the T5 xc90, though not as breathless, not at all! :). Feel the need for a trip to Darwin.

It's just seen 25km further offroad than I'd expect any new xc60 in oz has done - and survived.

Mostly (but not exclusively) in sand on a fire track, and nothing I wouldn't have managed in 2WD cars of the past with plenty of momentum, but it was effortless despite the poor wheel/tyre combo and inflated for the road.
