Looking good! Hey , i always wondered about taking the roof rails off and filing the holes with a volvo strip or something , there must be a part to do it? I use thule bars at times so i will keep mine , the V70 has holes in the door apeture for volvo racks to clamp into but this compromises the door seal , maybe i could live with that for the amount of times i need the racks , too damn noisy anyway,...

There is a part to do it. Over in America the Yanks like to do the opposite (since most sold didn't have the rails). I did look into the stripping once. Price was $200-300ish which kind of put me off for proper OEM Volvo. Perhaps cheaper to make a trade with a Yank wanting to do the opposite :P

There are some , very few i imagine that didnt have the roof bars , finding one is the trick!
Rob , i have the headlight washer arms , one without a blade or the little cover for the mount nut on the motor shaft , i didnt get a battery to the car but i will try Sunday and see if the CD stacker works too! Also if the CD in the H/U works for you as well.

Rob go for the [](http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/230778141337?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) unit. It plugs into the CD stacker jack in the HU and needs +12v it allows you to use a usb/sd card or 3.5mm in. You create 6 folders and can store 99 tracks in each. Well worth the $70

They sound great, as good as the CD unit, extra bonus no skipping. Really negates the stacker unit
The HU and the yatour are a bit funny about the the usb/sd cards directory structure, but it is explained in the documentation. 3.5mm jack sounds good too. Just pop the unit in the glovebox.
there is a bluetooth unit available for it too !

Bugger about the radio. Still interested in the sc-811, but it is a sc-816 that i really want.
Wood stuff i'm keen for. Whatever you have. Did you end up working out exactly what colour the interior was? black/grey?

Hey Rob , I will have another look at colour. Does your 816 not work? I know the CD can be repaired or get late model is 1999 one and swap faceplate or as Nick has done and input an mp3 from the back.
It rained and the sun shined alternately all day so no outside work . ... Once I got the front off the car I was keen to pull more and get the body to the scrappy!

Les, my 816 is missing, it had some aftermarket crappy thing in it, i have replaced it with a 810 from my parts 850, but really chasing the correct one.

I will do a deal with egads i reckon and at least get an 816, then i will try track down a black front from a buggered one, probably ex-US.

The sc-901 i have would be ok but there is no black front for a 901 that I'm aware of

I grabbed a later V70 single CD unit , i dont know the model and did the swap and it was OK but i could have been more carefull with it and one function didnt work , switching to CD i think was not sitting right.
Berry should have some and maybe even mine although it was some time ago....
Look for GLT with full options , you may find or T5? The 811 does not have a CD!!! Just pulled it out and , well thats no good!
The carpet is grey, i think my R was the same , i have th e mats for it somewhere , yeah now i remember washing them they were grey too.

the 811 i think is almost identical to the 810 i already have.. no cd, just stacker control.

Yep , has stacker in boot but its a rouind plug not as the one Nick has so he MP3 thingy would need to be different plug?
Here is your answer in the link , buy the 960 and get free radio ! I would love the drivetrain , he says while trying to offload cars!! Maybe you can use that engine in the 162 hot rod?
