carnut222;c-149494 wrotePull all the globe holders and look for corrosion on the contacts and globes themselves, and also look for corrosion where the globe holder tabs touch on the tail lamp housing. And as mentioned above if somebody has replaced a globe, it may not match the resistance of the opposite side globe. Also, does the light come on all the time, or only when you put the headlights on? Double check front globes as well as it may not be the rear triggering the indicator light. I’ve just been through sorting out the wiring on a 79 244 and went through and used a small wire brush wheel on my Dremel tool and removed every globe and holder and cleaned it all up. Finally everything works and no warning light. YAY!
Yeah its on all the time its been like that since i brought it ill go through all the globes but these are a good set of taillights i just fitted out of another 240 and he had no drama with them
